There’s always been a strong connection between photography and film making – understandably so when you stop and think about it: 35mm film photography was originally a development of the movie industry and allowed compact size cameras to be developed to be used by anyone.
Interestingly, a lot of modern DSLRs now use image capture chips that are derived from high end video cameras – and with the adoption of 4K and higher video resolution we’ll start to see more and more ‘stills’ captured from video sequences.
